Assessment Process
Here is an outline of how the assessment process generally works:
-
You, the client, initiate contact (phone or email) outlining your tree concerns and I let you know if that is something I feel capable of adequately addressing.
-
We meet on site and you indicate the tree(s) of concern and briefly describe that concern and provide me with a history of the site (site disturbance, construction, tree failures, past tree work, etc.) such as you are able.
-
I assess the tree(s) for overall vigor and safety as well as your specific concerns and take notes, photos, measurements, and samples as appropriate.
-
Together, we review my preliminary findings whereupon I suggest one or more possible courses of action to address your concerns and indicate areas which may require further consideration and/or research on my part.
-
I collect payment (see fees).
-
I return to my office, conduct research if necessary, and compose a report detailing what I have found and make recommendations based on those findings and your tree management goals. I email the report to you within 7 days of the assessment.
-
Finally, if tree work is warranted, you contact a few tree contractors and review the report with them and decide with whom you are most comfortable in undertaking the actions recommended in the report.
